Georgetown is a gated enclave of 38 single-family homes in south-central Pelican Bay, set below Gulf Park Drive and east of Ridgewood Drive. The streets carry colonial names, George Washington Way, Nathaniel Hale Drive and Thomas Jefferson Court, and the homes sit on half-acre sites facing lakes and the golf course. Most were built in the 1980s with 2,550 to 8,300 square feet of living space, and recent sales have closed between $4.75 million and $8.6 million. At that price, original 1980s bathrooms and kitchens are usually the first thing a new owner wants gone. Here is how we approach both rooms in a Georgetown home.
