Creciente, sometimes spelled Cresciente, is a Gulf-front condominium on the south end of Estero Island at 7146 to 7150 Estero Boulevard, Fort Myers Beach. Built in 1975 on about six and a half acres, it has North, South and East buildings of up to nine stories. Most units are two-bedroom, two-bath plans of about 812 to 1,545 square feet, with some larger, and recent sales have ranged from about $395,000 to $885,000. Amenities include a pool, sauna, fitness center, tennis and a clubhouse. At fifty years old, the building is a strong candidate for full kitchen and bath remodels.

Creciente bathrooms were built to 1970s standards, so many have small showers, low vanities, and tile or fixtures replaced piecemeal over the years. Gutting the room gives a clean start: a walk-in shower with a low curb or linear drain, a frameless glass panel, a comfort-height vanity with a quartz top, and porcelain that resists salt and sand. In the second bath, a tub-shower can stay for guests. Replacing old cast-iron or galvanized drain connections within the unit, where accessible, is part of every plan we write here. Ventilation matters too, so we upgrade the exhaust fan to a quiet, properly ducted model.

Work in the building answers to the Creciente association and the Town of Fort Myers Beach. The town reviews the cost of the project against the structure's value under the 50% rule, counting permits from the past five years, and requires a state-licensed contractor for condo units. The association controls elevator use, hours, parking and debris removal across its buildings. ## Creciente Kitchen Remodel

Kitchens from 1975 are typically enclosed, with a doorway or pass-through to the dining area. Many Creciente owners open them to the living room to pull in the Gulf view, then add a peninsula with seating. New cabinets run to the ceiling with deep drawers for pots, and quartz or quartzite counters replace laminate or older tile. A full-height backsplash, a single-bowl undermount sink and a counter-depth refrigerator finish the room. Larger units have space for a small pantry cabinet or a coffee station. Light cabinetry and pale stone help a compact kitchen feel open to the rest of the unit.
